Wall or Vehicle Mounted Alpha, Beta, Gamma, X-Ray Radiation Detector
RADON-2 is a stationary alpha (α), beta (β), gamma (γ) and X-ray radiation detector that is designed to monitor and measure equivalent dose rate of radiation.
The RADON-2 radiation detection system comes with detectors that can be fastened to the doors, indoor/outdoor walls or used inside a vehicle, and a control module that is placed near the security operator. It is ideal for areas where the radiation level needs to be controlled, or where vehicles move hazardous materials or pass through areas with potentially higher radiation levels.
RADON-2 has a relay output with a contact that will close when a higher radiation level is detected, including radiation due to the presence of radon. The relay output can be used to set up an alarm, switch on the ventilation system, etc.
RADON-2 control module includes three different color LEDs that visually indicate whether the radiation level is normal, is moderate and needs attention, or is dangerously high. The threshold for the LED signals can be adjusted if needed. Each detected radiation event is also accompanied by a beep sound; a full alarm is sound for higher radiation levels.
The device can be easily controlled through the front panel of the control module.
